Hello everybody.
Firstly, i'd like to say that i'm quite new to 3ds max - but i'm still trying to complete as much tutorials as i can.
Lately, i got this crazy idea. What idea? To make cartoon-like-render. I found a perfect tutorial ( http://www.tutorialized.com/view/tutorial/Cell-Shading-a-Car... ). Effects presented in tutorial (render and animation) exactly suit my needs. But, i have problem. As i said, i'm new to 3ds max (i have version 9) and i have totally no idea how to complete it in the program. Can anybody 'translate' this to 'step-by-step' tutorial for 3ds max 9? I would be very-very-very-very grateful.
Don't need anything about animation etc., just need to know how to turn any object into cartoon-like thingy.
Thanks!

For that tutorial you need a program called after effects, so you might struggle to do it that way if you don't have it. Max comes with a material called ink and paint, it'll preobably be easier to use that. Just click the standard button when you open up you material editor and select ink and paint from the menu.

Okay, i've got the after effects (trial Cs3)
//EDIT//
Darn it, i have to weak computer for it.. whatever, hope i will have same effects with some older version, which trial i'll try to download soon (or maybe even i'm gonna invest some money in that)
/// end of edit//
, but i still don't quite undestand this tutorial. So, can you please 'translate' this tutorial to the 'newb language'? I'm sure it won't take even five minutes, and it would be really helpfull.
Thanks.

Sorry, I can't really help you with after effects, I've never used it. It will probably be easier to understand when you actually have the program.
