Hi! I'm new in the forum! Also not so experienced in max. I had a couple of days ago to format my PC and after that the program doesn't work the way it did. Whenever I right click in a viewport the Maxscript runs automaticaly on view and ends showing lots of messages
"MAXScript MacroScript Error Exception : unknown property: "XXXXXXX" in undefined"
where XXXXXX the optional orders of the right click menu. Also the menu that appears has an unreadable "chineselooking" font.
The same happens when I click on the "Create" menu or the "Animation" and "Render" menus.
I'm running 3ds Max 2008 32bit in Windows Xp.
Has anybody any idea?

Just to help diagnose the problem, go to your rendering menu and click render to texture. If it doesn't work it might be an ActiveX problem.

You caan try, though I would have thought sp2 would fix it. You might have to reinstall max as well.

I welcome at me there was precisely same problem with errors - the reason was in that that I use programs for clearing of system from time and unnecessary files - this program came in *static.gifProgram Files\Autodesk and deleted therefrom files which considered unnecessary if you use similar programs bring in an exception a directory *static.gifProgram Files\Autodesk..... I hope to you it will help!

It sounds like you might have some scripts installed failing? Did you install any plugins or addon scripts?
