Hi, Im about to start my final year project for uni, I have the Title 'Using motion capture to produce and control character animation'
Being new to character control, I was wondering on some tips of how to go about it. The main objective of my project is to produce a 3D scene where a character can be moved about that scene, the movements will be taken from a motion capture session. What I need to know is how to use the motion capture sequences, how to attach them to the character and then how to control the character. If anyone can help, thanks.

Thanks for your time

Short answer: All you need (in 3ds max) is a character studio biped and a motion capture file or files. Just drag out a biped and load up a motion capture file. It gets a bit tricky when you have to blend multiple files or muliple files and hand animation and I've heard that motion capture files need to have their animation cleaned up a bit before they can be used.

Long answer: I can't really be bothered. wink.gif How much info do you need?
