Anyone played this? I downloaded it off steam the other night having never played it before and wondering what all the fuss was about (and also what the back story to HL2 was). Gotta say, so far I'm no very impressed. I'm not sure if it has aged badly or whether I wouldn't have liked it when it came out, but there are some really annoying things about it. The ladders are the worst ladders I've seen in any game. It's so bloody hard to get off them without jumping and when you do jump off them it's usually to your death after falling into a massive pit. Also the puzzles (find switch to open door - whoops, have to turn on power first, better go find that) get a bit annoying after a while. I seem to end up dying a lot, the soldiers seem to do a lot more damage to me than I do to them. Couple that with the annoying 'falling off stuff' thing and it makes for a frustrating time. That said, I seem to keep playing it - I'll be dammed if I spend $10 and don't finish the game.
