I made this guitar and did lighting for just experiencing V-ray effect.... the lights used r photometric and standard....with v-ray shadows & renderer...

I never bother using photometric lights.

I just use standards, except if I'm using VRay Mats then I'll use Vray lights to get specularity.

one thing varnished....... can we use radiosity with standard lights.... i mean normally we use it with just photometric lights...so plz tell...!

If you use the Radiosity plugin, you probably have to use photometric.

But if you render in vray just use normal ones or vray lights.
