Hi, Im about to start my final year project for uni, I have the Title 'Using motion capture to produce and control character animation'
Being new to character control, I was wondering on some tips of how to go about it. The main objective of my project is to produce a 3D scene where a character can be moved about that scene, the movements will be taken from a motion capture session. What I need to know is how to use the motion capture sequences, how to attach them to the character and then how to control the character. If anyone can help, thanks.

Thanks for your time

(I posted this in another section, but wasnt sure if the right people would see it)

In max the simplest way is to load the mocap into a biped. Takes about two clicks. If you are capturing raw motion data there may be some steps to take in converting to the right format and possibly cleaning up things like sliding footsteps and reducing the amount of jitter etc... Character animators toolkit also supports motion capture data.
