Decided to post this, nothing major just whipped it up the other night. It's a couch. Mostly done in max, but there's a little bit of Z-Brush in there to give it that "used" look.

looks cool man ... seems a little too bashed up if you know what i mean ... still nice textures and lighting man.
We're getting very close, so close we can taste it. And it tastes like awesome.

If you'd had kids jumping on you for the last 15 years you'd look pretty smashed up too. wink.gif I know it's nothing overly special, but it only took a few hours and I'm pretty happy with the result. Plus it's been a bit quite here lately so I thought I'd put something up.

I like it! Looks fairly realistic, and the wear and tear is unavoidable with a few years of use. And who said you're only to model fresh out the factory stuff, eh? Great job on this one! smile.gif

People seem to be missing my point. I'm not saying that the model needs to be new I'm just saying I think there is too much damage. Like the arms of the chair are too mangled seen as in reality they would be made of wood I find it hard to belive that the couch could be that messed up.

As a furniture removalist I've seen a lot of couches and they can certainly get pretty beaten up, especially after we've got to them. The wood doesn't get mangled but the foam looses it's spring and starts sagging. You're proabably right though, the left arm does look a bit too squashed.

its a fine looking couch but is this for a bigger project or did you just feel like making a couch?
and it's a story that might bore you, but you don't have to listen, because I always knew it was going to be like that.

It was originally going to be for a bigger project but nothing came of it.
